Archived: Two People Arrested On First Degree Burglary Charges Stemming From Late Night Incident In St. Cloud

A 31-year-old man from Brooklyn Park and 30-year-old woman from Duluth were arrested on robbery and burglary charges after allegedly forcing themselves into a 33-year-old St. Cloud man’s residence.

According to St. Cloud police, Johnny Emil Johnson of Brooklyn Park and Ashley Anne Gilmore of Duluth forced their way into the residence at the 1400 block of 10th Avenue North in St. Cloud early Saturday morning and stole property. A 58-year-old man inside the residence at the time of the break in was allegedly assaulted by the suspects.

Investigators located Johnson and Gilmore near the Grandstay Hotel at the 200 block of 6th Avenue South, where the two were arrested by St. Cloud police.

The criminal investigation unit continued with the investigation, performing search warrants on the hotel room and vehicle Johnson and Gilmore were both seen in.

Johnson and Gilmore are being held for court at the Stearns County Jail on first degree burglary and aggravated robbery charges.
