Waite Park Pedestrian Is Injured After Reportedly Running Into Oncoming Traffic

A man has suffered non-life threatening injuries after allegedly running out in front of oncoming traffic and crashing into a car Wednesday.
According to the Waite Park Police Department, several witnesses said that a car driven by 36-year-old Aaron Sakkinen of St. Cloud had the green light at 2nd Ave South and 2nd Street South when a pedestrian ran out in front of him and collided with his car.
The pedestrian, 32-year-old Eric Gale of Waite Park, was taken by ambulance to the St. Cloud Hospital.
Sakkinen was not injured in the crash.
