Weekend Of Songs Strums Into St. Joseph This Weekend

Musicians and songwriters will gather this weekend at the Local Blend in St. Joseph to celebrate the art of the song. Local musicians and event organizers Adam Hammer and Dave Cofell talked with KVSC’s Justus Sanchez in the audio story.
The Weekend of Songs will also feature morning artist meet-ups, where artists can’t talk shop and jam. There will also be open mic opportunities each day of the festival and an 18 Hour Songwriter Challenge.
Each day’s line up is below.
Friday:
4 p.m. – Social and happy hour
5 p.m. – Adam Hammer & Dave Cofell
6:30 p.m. – John Larson
7:30 p.m. – Coutney Yasmineh
8:30 p.m. – Jeff & Muggsy of Collective Unconscious
9:30 p.m. – Tom VandenAvond & Soda Gardocki (In The Round Set)
Saturday:
10 a.m. – Songwriters Meet-Up
4:30 p.m. – Open Mic
6:30 p.m. – Carl Unbehaun
7:30 p.m. – Christopher Laumb
8:30 p.m. – Tom Feldmann
9:30 p.m. – Rena Haus & Leon Laudenbach (In The Round Set)
Sunday:
10 a.m. – Songwriters Meet-Up
2 p.m. – 18 Hour Songwriter Challenge and Open Mic
