Drivers will experience smooth traveling in Rice as the westbound Highway 10 bridge crossing County Road 2 is now open.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation says farmers, freight haulers, and heavy equipment operators should be aware that the new bridge has a short-term height limit of 15 feet.

MNDot also adds that motorists on eastbound Highway 10 will continue to run into temporary bypass lanes and signals at County Road 2 and County Road 31.

The construction is part of the Highway 10/County Road 2 interchange project set to be completed later this year.
