Archived: Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Today

The National Weather Service has expanded its winter weather advisory to the city of St. Cloud, as well as all areas south and east of St. Cloud.

According to SCSU Meteorology Professor Bob Weisman, the fluffy snow began to fall after 3 a.m. and will easily produce icy patches on untreated roads. Weisman also says that the storm is actually weakening as it gets closer to St. Cloud, so the main trouble will be slipping and sliding.

So far this season, St. Cloud has received 36 inches of snow.
