The path women take to political power will be examined at St. Cloud State University.

St. Cloud State University Communications says the Women’s Center will feature the topic, titled "Women’s Path to Political Power," at their weekly lecture series Women on Wednesday.

The lecture will feature Susan Allen, who is the first Native American to be elected to the Minnesota Legislature and the first openly-lesbian Native American elected in the United States, and Monica Segura-Schwartz, the treasurer of the District 742 School Board.

Long-time Minnesota legislator Karen Clark has been invited, but there is no confirmation on whether she will attend or not.

The lecture will take place at the Atwood Theater in the Atwood Memorial Center on Wednesday, October 31 at noon. Women on Wednesday takes place every Wednesday at the same time.
