Baseball Team Earns NCAA Bid in New Mexico

The most productive and dominant athletic year continues at St. Cloud State University as the S-C-S-U baseball team has earned a spot in the 2010 N-C-A-A Division II Central Region tournament. The Huskies, charted a 37-15 regular season standard, are ranked fifth in the recent Regional polls and have earned the sixth seed in the tournament. They’re playing game one against New Mexico Highlands (39-11) who are ranked seventh in the nation and first in the central regional polls. This is the first time in head coach Pat Dolan’s career he has played in a regional championship game.
The Huskies will play at 7 P.M on Thursday (today 5/13). Other teams making the tournament from the N-S-I-C conference were #2 seed Minnesota State who will play #5 seed Nebraska- Kearney, while 3# Mesa State will go head to head with #4 seed Winona State at 3 P.M. All games will be in Mountain Time. The tournament is double elimination format and will play through May 16.
