Huskies Drop NSIC Opener

Three was not the lucky number for the Husky Volleyball Team Tuesday night as they failed to get their third straight win, falling to Winona State three sets to none. The loss marked the opening of the 2009-2010 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) schedule for both teams.
Ashley Shields had her fifth double-double of the season charting 13 kills and racking up ten digs in the back row. Co-captain Kayla Tschida added eight kills for SCSU and Erica Beacom and Alecia Lunde chipped in four kills each.
Saint Cloud gets another chance to get its first NSIC win of the season on Friday as they open up the home schedule against Winona at Halenbeck Hall. Start time for that match is 7:00 p.m.
