Husky softball splits with SMSU
04/15/2010 - 9:45 AM
The St. Cloud State softball team stayed at five-hundred in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate conference Wednesday as they split a doubleheader with Southwest Minnesota State at Mustang Field.
Game one saw the Huskies fall behind early 2-0 and unable to get back in the game. Offensively SCSU was led by senior slap hitter Lizzy Dwyer. The Montana native went 2 for 3 from the plate with a run scored.
The Huskies were able to salvage a split with a big 8-6 win in game two. Emily Edgerton led a very strong Husky offense with a 3 for 4 game at the plate and First year Alyssa Roberts had a team high two runs-batted-in. SCSU is now 19-15 overall and 6-6 in the NSIC.
