Men's Basketball Goes Winless on Weekend
02/14/2011 - 11:30 AM

It was a tough weekend on the road for the St. Cloud State men’s basketball team as they fell to ninth ranked Minnesota State 80-69 Friday night and Southwest Minnesota State 71-58 Saturday.
Taylor Witt led the Huskies in scoring against the Mavericks on Friday with 21 points and also added six assists. Witt now stands alone in fourth place on the all-time assist chart for SCSU.
The offensive struggles were plenty for the Huskies on Saturday against Southwest as they were only able to muster 58 points on 35 percent shooting. Scott Roehl of SMSU led all scorers with 23 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in the win.
SCSU is now 12-11 on the season with an 11-8 record in the NSIC. The Huskies will play their final homestand this weekend as they take on Northern State and the University of Mary at Halenbeck Hall.
