SCSU Wrestling Breaks School Win Record

A dominating performance on Friday was also a historic one for the St. Cloud State Huskies wrestling team. With a 39-0 win over Northern State at Halenbeck Hall, the #3 Huskies set a school record with their 16th victory of the season. The previous mark of 15 wins set in the 1964-65 season was shattered in a blowout victory.
The Huskies continued to build on their record breaking season with another large victory, this time a 40-3 win over the University of Mary on Saturday. With another win from Halenbeck Hall, the Huskies are outscoring their opponents 116-7 this season on their home mat.
Again coming up big for the Huskies was Jacob Kahnke at 285 pounds and for his efforts, he was named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Wrestler of the Week on Monday.
SCSU is back in action this Sunday on the road against Upper Iowa University at 2 PM.
