Soccer Falls at Home
10/04/2010 - 11:00 AM
It was a tough weekend for the St. Cloud State soccer team as they fell to Minnesota-Duluth 1-0 and Bemidji State 1-0 at Husky Stadium.
The loss to UMD was the first time since October 19th, 2008 that the Huskies fell at the friendly confines of Husky Stadium. Freshman Kenzie Hanzlick was in goal for the Huskies and made five saves in the loss, falling to 2-4 on the season.
It was another 1-0 loss Sunday for the Huskies as the Beavers of Bemidji State came out with a victory. Ashlee Ellefsen was the lone goal scorer of the game for the Beavers as the Huskies were shut out for the fifth time this season. Freshman goalkeeper Molly Bender was in between the pipes for SCSU and recorded six saves while losing her first game of her young career.
The Huskies are now 5-5 on the season and 3-3 in conference play.
