Softball Drops Pair to Vikings
04/18/2011 - 12:15 PM
The setbacks in the NSIC continue for the St. Cloud State softball team as the squad dropped a pair of contests at Augustana on Sunday, losing 6-1 and 7-3. St. Cloud falls to 4-8 in the conference this season.
SCSU scored first in game one thanks to Ally Koski’s RBI double, but after that, the Vikings rattled off six straight runs. The Huskies were lead offensively in game two by Maggie Dunsmore who went three for three at the plate and scored a run, but it wasn’t enough with the potent Augustana attack.
The Huskies are now 19-18 on the season. SCSU is in action today with a doubleheader against Wayne State College at the Peter Chapman Softball Complex in Wayne.
