Women's Hockey Swept by Duluth
12/16/2013 - 9:15 AM
The Huskies women’s hockey team continued their home stand this weekend when the University of Minnesota Duluth came to town. The Bulldogs got off to an early lead in both games of the series. Friday’s game featured two UMD goals in the first period and that would be enough to win as the Huskies fell 2-1. Saturday proved to be a much tougher test. The game was tied until just 13 seconds remained in the game, when the Bulldogs scored to make it 2-1 and complete the sweep.
The Huskies are 3-14-3 overall heading into the holiday break and sit with a 2-10-2 conference record. The team returns to play hosting the University of Wisconsin January 3-4 at the Brooks Center.
