The St. Cloud State women's hockey team was swept at the NHEC this weekend by #10 Ohio State. The Buckeyes posted a 3-2 victory on Friday and a 4-2 win on Saturday night.
The Huskies came back from a 2-0 deficit with a Molli Mott second period goal and an Ellie Sitek tally early in the third. However, OSU got the last laugh with a goal late in regulation to take the lead for good.
On Saturday the Huskies got goals from Alex Nelson and Audrey Hanmer as the teams exchanged goals through two periods, with SCSU holding a 2-1 lead after two periods.
OSU scored the game's final three goals including an empty net goal late in the frame.
St. Cloud State is now 2-7-1 overall. The team plays at home again this weekend with Lindenwood making their way to the NHEC. Drop of the puck is scheduled for 2:07 PM on Friday and Saturday afternoon.
