Women's Season Ends With a Loss

It was a scene that unfortunately the Saint Cloud State women's basketball team was all to familiar with this weekend. It was a hard fought game that saw the Huskies fade at the end and eventually lose. The 75-55 loss to Winona State ended St.Cloud's season and left them in 13th place in the NSIC.
The Huskies finished the year with a disappointing 10-17 overall mark with a 5-15 record in the conference. Last year the Huskies won the NSIC Tournament and qualified for the national tournament with a 22-9 record but this year's young squad could never find the right consistency.
Things are looking up for the Huskies next season as they only graduate two role players and return all 12 of their top scorers. Two of the key returners will be guards Talisha Barlow and Becca Friestleben who both averaged over 13 points a game.
