Wrestling Team Remains Undefeated

The wrestling squad participated in the Grand Canyon Duals in Phoenix, AZ on Saturday. The event features some of the best wrestling teams in the nation. The Huskies participated in four duals throughout the day and went a perfect 4-0. SCSU took down Western State 38-3 to start off the day then Colorado Mesa 32-3, California Baptists 33-9 before ending the day with a victory over Colorado School of Mines 39-6. It’s the third season SCSU has participated in the Grand Canyon Duals and the third consecutive season without a loss. The team now holds a 7-0 dual record this season and extended their record winning streak to 33 duals.

Up next for the team is the National Duals in Springfield, Illinois Jan 12-13. John Peterson will be traveling with the team and coving the event live on the KVSC Sports Stream.
