1.)    When did you get involved with 88.1 FM?

I began at KVSC December 2011!

2.)  What show(s) do you currently host on KVSC and what programs have you hosted in the past?
As of now I am doing one of the morning shows.

3.) Please list some of the artists and musicians you consider to be a must play on your show(s)?

Oh golly, there are so many, but if you insist. The Antlers, Antony & The Johnsons, The Arcade Fire, Ra Ra Riot, Jeremy Messersmith, Hanson deep cuts, Radiohead, The Replacements, Animal Collective, The New Pornographers, Pixies, you know the part in the movies where the eyes of the two lovers finally meet….that music, M83, Doomtree, The Shins, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and whale sounds.

4.) Why are you involved with independent community radio at 88.1 FM?

Because it’s a great way to further broadcast my obsession for music. Finally I can stop making mix tapes!! Plus they play the most eclectic music you can find in the area.

5.) What is in your personal CD player, iPod, or mp3 right now (BE HONEST)?

iPod: A lot, but currently Bright Eyes’ “Lifted Or The Story Is In The Soil, Keep Your Ear To The Ground”. Spotify: currently The Shins’ “Wincing The Night Away”. Laptop: currently The Antler’s “Burst Apart”. Record Player: currently Florence + The Machine’s “Ceremonials”. Car Radio: Tuned to 88.1FM KVSC!
My music obsession is deep and it is real.

6.) Please disclose the most embarrassing music moment or concert you’ve attended or album you’ve bought (perhaps even shameful)?

I have no embarrassing music moments, because some of the best moments in my life have been to the soundtrack of some of the most awful songs out there. But I regret not going to more shows. Oh and listening to the Batman Forever soundtrack on repeat when I was in my youth.

7.) What are your hobbies and interest?

Well I really like music, and things that involve it. I really enjoy eating. Trying to speak broken Spanish. Starting projects, and then not finishing them. Reading the classics. Going to art museums and seeing how close I can get to a painting before a security guard tells me to step back. Taking pictures, and experiencing new and exciting things.

8.) When you are not at work or KVSC, where can you most likely be found?

At home, or in Minneapolis with my muses (that is what I call my friends).

9.) If it were the end of the world and you could only take five things with you, what would  they be (BE HONEST)?

My iPod, my iPhone, a very large book, some comfortable shoes in case I have to do a lot of walking, and toothpaste (proper hygiene is important).

10.) What do you think is the future of radio?

I think that it will be changing all the time, especially with new technology and trends. But stations like KVSC I think have a better chance at sticking around, because there are people out there who want new and interesting music and are willing to support those stations that provide it.
