1.) When did you get involved with 88.1 FM? Fall ‘2012

2.2.)What show(s) do you currently host on KVSC and what programs have you hosted in the past? I host the Wednesday Late Night Progressive Rock Show and fill in anywhere I can.

3.3.)Please list some of the artists and musicians you consider to be a must play on your show(s)? Sonic Youth, Beach House, Minus the Bear, Interpol, Gorillaz; Any Punk Rock- Ramones, Dead Kennedys, Bad Brains, Meat Puppets, Melvins….. Anything Local! Atmosphere, Brother Ali, Mason Jennings, Trampled by Turtles, Heiruspecs, Mally, Jon Wayne and The Pain, Bob Dylan… Classic Rock- Pink Floyd, The Velvet Underground, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Neil Young, Led Zeppelin.

4.4.) Why are you involved with independent community radio at 88.1 FM? I got involved with KVSC because I was looking for a good way to put my love and knowledge of music to use. Plus I get to play vinyl.

5.5.) What is in your personal CD player, iPod, or mp3 right now (BE HONEST)? A nice garden variety of course!

6.6.) Please disclose the most embarrassing music moment or concert you’ve attended or album you’ve bought (perhaps even shameful). Oh boy….. when I was about 9yrs old, I did knowingly and willingly buy Backstreet Boys cassettes. Concert-Summer 2012 I saw LMFAO L (I went for free).

7.7.) What are your hobbies and interest? Listening to and discovering new music, especially local artists. Playing Sonic Youth Style Guitar i.e. sticking various objects in the frets and making lots of noise. Down Hill Skiing. Rooting for local sports teams, GO TWINS!! Camping, hiking, swimming, canoeing.

8.8.) When you are not at work or KVSC, where can you most likely be found? Lounging in the comfort of a good chair or couch.

9.9.) If it were the end of the world and you could only take five things with you, what would they be (BE HONEST)? My music collection, a dog, MN white pine needles, my family, and food.

110.)              What do you think is the future of radio? I think people go through stages of life when listening to the radio. Most people will start out listening to top 40, but as you get older, you grow tired of that and need radio stations like KVSC to provide you with an eclectic mix of music and community that you won’t get on any Clear Channel radio station. Also, listening to radio over the internet is probably the way of future for radio. It’s the best way to listen to radio if you are somewhere far away from the signal.
