1.)    When did you get involved with 88.1 FM?
I got involved with KVSC in the spring of 2013. I toured the studios and was hooked.

2.)  What show(s) do you currently host on KVSC and what programs have you hosted in the past?
I host 4 p.m. news edition, but have also hosted the morning show part II.

3.)  Please list some of the artists and musicians you consider to be a must play on your show(s)?   Since I don’t really have the opportunity to play music doing the 4 p.m. news edition, I wouldn’t really know how to answer that. But I am a big supporter of the local music scene so I love hearing artists like the Bad Bad Hats, Doomtree, and Dessa. I love Dessa.

4.) Why are you involved with independent community radio at 88.1 FM?
I chose to become a volunteer at KVSC because I am a mass communications major at SCSU. Since I have a print emphasis, I thought it would be a great experience if I were to branch out and explore other forms of media. And I really love being down in the studios of KVSC.

5.)  What is in your personal CD player, iPod, or mp3 right now (BE HONEST)?    I listen to a lot of country music. Anyone who knows me knows I have a problem. I have a lot of Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, the Band Perry and most anything country. As for pop, I will admit I do have a few Britney Spears songs (Oops…I did it again) Anyone??

6.)  Please disclose the most embarrassing music moment or concert you’ve attended or album you’ve bought (perhaps even shameful)     I don’t think I’ve had any really embarrassing music moment. It’s more of my bad dancing or belting tunes in the car that get me into more trouble than anything.

7.)  What are your hobbies and interest?    Who has time for hobbies? Just kidding. I love to write and read books (and yes that includes text books). I’m starting to branch out and get into photography even though I have a lot to learn.

8.)  When you are not at work or KVSC, where can you most likely be found?    I can always be found at SCSU, usually in the basement of Stewart Hall. I am currently the editor-in-chief at the University Chronicle and that takes up a lot of my time. Other than that, work or sleeping. I love naps!

9.)  If it were the end of the world and you could only take five things with you, what would they be (BE HONEST)?     If there were only 5 things I could take with me I would probably take the following: my mom, my blanket, a notebook, pens, and cookies.

10.)  What do you think is the future of radio?     We will always need radio! There will always be that need for listening to something in the car, or during emergency weather situations when the power goes out. It is something that will continue to evolve, but something we will always have with us.
