Steven.JPG1.)   When did you get involved with 88.1 FM?

      Halloween 2009

2.) What show(s) do you currently host on KVSC and what programs have you hosted in the past?

Wednesday’s Late Night Progressive Rock Show. I also hosted the Afternoon Progressive Rock Show this past Thanksgiving. My family still hates me.

3.) Please list some of the artists and musicians you consider to be a must play on your show(s)?

When it gets past the Midnight hour I usually slip in “With Arm’s Wide Open” By Creed. I’m waiting for Mr. Sullivan to call me and tell me I can’t play it. It’s been 7 months and still no phone call. Secretly, I think he loves Creed.

4.) Why are you involved with independent community radio at 88.1 FM?

The 4 hour work week was big for me. Also, I want to be the first person to host a nationally syndicated community/public radio show. The more impossible the goal, the longer you’ll be chasing it. That just sounds fun to me.

5.) What is in your personal CD player, iPod, or mp3 right now (BE HONEST)?

It’s loaded down with Lady Gaga right now. I’m looking for auditory clues to answer the question: Man or Woman?

6.) Please disclose the most embarrassing music moment or concert you’ve attended or album you’ve bought (perhaps even shameful)?

I remember standing in front of a rack of CD’s at Walmart when I was 12. I was contemplating purchasing a Smashmouth CD with the 10 dollars I had in my pocket. Luckily I bought a tube of Pringles and a sack of rolos. I feel like if I purchased that CD it would’ve changed my life. I might not know what vinyl is or what the world sellout means to this day. That scares the hell out of me.

7.) What are your hobbies and interests?

I’m really getting into Chat Roulette. You can meet anyone in the world, at any time- so of course it’s never creepy.

8.) When you are not at work or KVSC, where can you most likely be found?

I’ve been doing a lot of meditating, reading, and researching other cultures. I want to discover the dynamic and psyche of a guido. You can find me in front of a mirror with an industrial size bottle of styling gel.

9.) If it were the end of the world and you could only take five things with you, what would they be (BE HONEST)?

You’re referring to the after-life right? For the safety of my career, I can’t answer this politically incorrect question. Also, I don’t imagine my soul would be able to hold anything tangible.

10.) What do you think is the future of radio?

I see a world where DJs will have access to a database with all the music that’s ever been created. Sadly, top 40 radio stations will still find a way to play the same song twice in a day.
