Composed of three girls who went to school together and a bassist they found on craigslist, Yasen Marie is a Minneapolis-based quartet who describe their music as hippy pop-rock. According to their website they’ve been playing together since 2008 all across Minnesota. “Their harmonies and instrumentals thrive as they draw their influences from artists such as Ani Difranco and Alanis Morissette. Their lyrics are powerful and passion apparent as they express their music through their life’s tribulations and triumphs.”
