Jesus Christ Super Star at Pioneer Place
Recently, Arts & Cultural Heritage Producer Jeff Carmack attended a rather unique event at the Pioneer Place Theater which was held in conjunction with its current production of Tim Rice & Andrew Lloyd Weber’s Jesus Christ Superstar. It’s called the Artist Spotlight and it was a chance for the public to interact and have a discussion with the creative individuals associated with the Pioneer Place’s productions. During the presentation, Pioneer Place Artistic Director Michael Kelley guided the discussion amongst the artistic team of local talent which included Music Director Jeff Engholm, Choreographer David Deblieck, Costume Designer & SCSU Theater, Film Studies, and Dance Department Chair Jeffrey Bleam, and Scenic Designer Justin Hooper as they discussed the creative process and how Jesus Christ Superstar came to life in St. Cloud.
