Arts & Cultural Heritage Producer Jeff Carmack discusses poetry and prison with two documentary film makers who have travelled through the area to interview SCSU English professor Rex Veeder regarding his long term relationship with poet Jimmy Baca. The film “A Place to Stand” documents the hardships of Baca’s early life, which eventually lead him to prison, as well as his determination to learn and reach out to those who shared his poetic outlook on the challenges of life.
