Archived: Big Lake to Improve Water Plant

Big Lake is one of three Minnesota cities benefitting from $20.6 million dollars in federal stimulus dollars for water improvement projects. The Sherburne County city is receiving $15.5 million dollars to improve its waste water treatment plant. The project includes infrastructure upgrades that will provide more efficient processing of wastes.
Overall this year, Minnesota received $107 million dollars to help more than 40 communities improve wastewater, sanitary sewer and drinking water systems.
