The American Indian Center and the Multicultural Resource Center at St. Cloud State University are sponsoring a discussion on “Education as a Tool for Colonization.”

The online webinar features Dr. Sasanehsaeh Jennings, an enrolled member of the Menominee Nation of Wisconsin. She will offer insight as to how education has and continues to be used as a tool for colonization, sharing her own experience and scholarship around Modern Day Boarding Schools, along with insight from Native students. She will also share suggestions for change.

Dr. Jennings received her doctorate degree from the University of Minnesota in Organizational Leadership Policy and Development and currently is the Coordinator of Native Student Success for the University of Wisconsin System.

The webinar begins at noon on Wednesday, February 10th.
