Archived: Huskies 1st at St. Bens Classic
The Saint Cloud State women’s golf team put together back-to-back solid rounds as they went on to win the Saint Benedicts classic this past weekend. SCSU shot a first day total of 334 and followed it up with a 341 for a two-day total of 675, defeating the second place Tommies of Saint Thomas by 16 strokes. Leading the way for the Huskies were senior Lee Zutz and sophomore Emily Gerber. Zutz finished second overall with a two day score of 161 and Gerber was right on her heels finishing third overall with a 165.
Next up for the Huskies is the SCSU Husky Classic on October 4th and 5th at the Saint Cloud Country Club. Also competing in the classic will be Bemidji State, MSU-Moorhead, Northern State University and the University of Manitoba.
