Granite City Radio Theatre Season 13 Episode 2 with Special Musical Guest Emily Haavik
The 13th season of Granite City Radio Theatre continued in festive fashion with special musical guest Emily Haavik.
Based out of Minneapolis, Emily Haavik crafts lovely, thoughtful alt-country songs that she usually plays with her backing band, the 35s. In this instance, she’s of course joined by our mega-talented house band, Collective Unconscious.
In addition to the great music, all your GCRT favorites are present and accounted for.
Jay Terry is your host, and he’s joined by Heather and Makenzie for hilarious comedy sketches, including a skewed view of the news, some wild new offerings from Successco, a seasonally appropriate song about “Santa Action,” and a visit from our humble and most honorable mayor.
Shades Brigade offers up stirring radio drama feature tough-as-nails secret agent Jack Shade and his crew of crack adventurers.
And Dan Barth hosts an onstage trivia quiz with a trio of contestants: special musical guest Emily Haavik, Pioneer Place owner Ray Harrington, and KVSC Trivia writer Raine Hokan.
